Mussels


Green mussels are wild caught in New Zealand. Mussels are tender, delicate, plump and juicy with a sweet to mild flavor. The meat colors vary from cream (male) and apricot (female). Green mussels are grown suspended off the seabed which makes less likely to contain sand or grit. These mussels are naturally half opened often refer to “smiling”.
